Most people have interesting love stories, but Paul and Sunny have a beautifully unique love story meant for the big screen. Paul and Sunny met, dated, got engaged, and got married all within a pandemic.
In late February of 2020, the couple met through a mutual financial advisor and his wife who happened to be good friends with both Paul and Sunny. The couple was paired together, and it was perfect. The two sent emails back and forth for weeks, each person filled with absolute joy.
About two weeks after the two were paired together, the world shut down. The Coronavirus had spread, leaving the two of them separated, but this did not stop their communication. They met for the first time in person on April 6th which they spent talking and walking around a park for hours.
After their next date, Sunny told her granddaughter, Faith, that she was “communicating” with someone. This meant this was absolutely serious. After more dates, the couple became increasingly closer. During the first week of May while on a trip to Wisconsin, Paul asked Sunny to marry him, and she said yes!
This couple shows the beauty and simplicity of love, and it is so obvious when seeing the two together. During the wedding, the couple was giddier than a college couple, excited for the life they were going to make together. The two even kissed during the ceremony after the vows instead of after they were officially married!
The wedding was located at Eagle Lodge at Lake Springfield Christian Assembly in Springfield, IL. It was a quaint and gorgeous wedding made up of their closest family and friends. Sunny’s son performed the charge to the groom and Paul’s brother performed the charge to the bride, adding familial touches that made this wedding so much more meaningful.
This wedding marked the beginning of a chapter to a beautiful love story that bloomed because they made the best of unfortunate circumstances!
