the story of a young, female photographer

July 24, 2011: The day I bought my first DSLR camera.

I was only 13 years old, but the joy I felt that day is quite evident, haha!

I wish I could go back in time to tell 13-year-old Allison that 22-year-old Allison runs a full-time Photography Business.

Since I can remember, I created anything I could get my hands on. When I was 10 years old, I turned to photography as a new outlet for creating when I bought my first Point & Shoot camera.

From 2009-2013 photography was just a hobby for me, but in 2014 my passion took a big turn. I was working at a Pizza Restaurant back in my home town, and all of a sudden I felt God telling me to use my gift to bless others. I knew what He meant. I was to start a portrait photography business.

Funny thing is, is I never cared for portrait photography at that time. So what did I do? I ignored God and continued making breadsticks and taking pizza orders. But He kept pushing and speaking to me.

I finally gave in, and decided to make a post on my private Facebook that I was starting a portrait photography service. And crazy enough, people hired me.

It grew to the point that I had to make a decision whether or not I wanted to really chase this dream. I knew where my passion resided, so I chose to quit my job and all sports I was involved in. And boy, was it worth it.

To think that since then, I have had 330+ clients pay me to capture their special moments and have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, blows my mind.

So, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for the 6+ years you have believed in me, support me, and hired me.

I am forever grateful <3
